Proverbs 16-20
Chapter 16: I haven't gone gray yet, but I will wear it with pride!
Chapter 17: Grandma and Grandpa Brinkley always had a plaque on the wall in the kitchen that said,:

"It's better to silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt".
I found an owl on Google images and added a jester's hat (also found on Google).
Chapter 18: As soon as I read this verse, I knew I wanted to make "the name(s) of the Lord" into bricks in the tower. If you look closely, you'll see me looking out the window after running to safety.
Chapter 19: I knew what wanted to draw here, but I had a hard time with it. I attempted to draw several versions of someone sleeping. My husband thought it looked like she was in a coffin. I guess she is resting very contently! :)
Chapter 20: I had fun with the rubies and gold bars. Still not happy with my people drawing skills. But I will get there!

Proverbs 11. Like a gold ring in a pig snout is a beautiful woman who lacks discretion.
I tried to draw cleavage on my "discetionless" woman.

Proverbs 5-10
Proverbs 5: May your fountain be bless and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.
I am not happy with my people drawing skills, but I'll get better as I practice.
Proverbs 6: Go to the ant you sluggard. (Okay, so my slug doesn't look much like a slug!)
I seem to be missing the picture from Proverbs 7. I'll add it later.
I am not happy with my people drawing skills, but I'll get better as I practice.

Chapter 9, Wisdom is prepared!
Proverbs 10. I was working on this verse the day of the Supreme Court ruling on marriage. Hatred (on either side of the issue) does nobody any good. I made the sin rainbow colored, not to represent the "Pride" flag, but to remind me that sin comes in all colors. The sin I struggle with may not be the sin you struggle with. And sin is sin in God's eyes. We are called to love.

I started with a cover page that highlights some important parts of Proverbs: wisdom, learning, and listening.

The inside cover of my Proverbs journal |
For chapter 1, I focused on the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. To show the beginning, I made a starting line.

Proverbs 1 |
Chapter 2 focused on the benefits of wisdom (which are many!) I decided to do a play on words with "happy feet" to represent "pleasant to your soul".

Chapter 3 is how to find favor with God and man.
