My Book by Book project!

I've been working on my book by book project for Bible journaling.  And it's making a lot of progress!  The page is here: Bible Journaling by Book on Pinterest

There are currently about 3200  pins.  I've done most of them, but I also found some volunteers to help collaborate.  (I'd still love to add more collaborators!! Just let me know!)

Psalms is the biggest board with almost 800 pins.  There are quite a few books that really need some pins. Most are small like Jude and Philemon. But I'm also lacking pictures for Daniel, Numbers, and 1 & 2 Samuel.

My purpose in creating this board was to have place to get inspiration for a specific verse. I looked and couldn't find one, so I made my own.

For example, if I wanted to journal Hebrews 6:19: "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul" (NIV).  The obvious idea would be to use the word "hope" and a picture of an anchor.  But what picture? How should I arrange it?  Here are several options:

My newest pages

I have often said that I am not creative, but I can re-create or modify something other people do.  Here are some examples of my recent journals, as well as the page that inspired it. I've been finding a lot of inspiration and sorting them on my new Pinterest page. Bible Journaling by Book.

Inspiration: Colossians 1:27. (Yes, I realized I got the passage wrong. I'll figure out a way to fix it!)

My interpretation. I didn't add the flowers, but I like the way it turned out. (Except, of course, the typo!)

This was kind of a summary of points from Ephesians. While the monochromatic page looks good in the sample, I decided to make mine rainbow.

My version using gel pens.

This incredible picture is just too cute for words! I love the curls!!

My version.  I used water color pencils, but I have not yet decided if I am going to wet it or leave it. I really like the way it turned out.

Galatians 5: 22-23--The fruit of the Spirit
I found quite a few ideas, but I loved the idea of the canning jars.
I believe the original used stickers.

My version. I had drew the jars and I used water color pencils.

Book by book resourse!

I wanted an easy resource to find samples of Bible journaling for various passages.  So I created a
Bible Journal by Book board on Pinterest!

There are 58 boards (I put the 1 & 2s and the 1, 2, 3s together). I also added a board for "unfiled" (ones that looked cool, but I couldn't easily identify the book) and one for "Hymns" for pages with journaled hymnals or hymns. I have at least one pin in every folder.

If you would like to help with a book (or two or 20!), follow the board (link below) and them send a message through pinterest so I have the correct name. Also let me know which specific boards you'd like to help with. There are currently over 600 pins! Most of them are specifically journaled, but I also found some good lists and such that would help with journaling (especially in the Old Testament history books.)
